when i think about you, flowers grow out of my grave, grave, grave!

Yuna's made bookmarks.

Thirty-nine players in the game, excluding herself. Two "sacrifices" for the game's start. Forty-one bookmarks, all in all.

She's surprisingly good at this: each one is sturdily constructed and neatly designed. They're made of colored card stock, and each one has a ribbon in a different shade of the background color in the corner. On the front, each one has a few pressed flowers arranged and glued down. On the back, Yuna's written the recipients name in big, neat print, and then the meanings of the flowers in the same cutesy penmanship the Hero Club box is written in. Since she can't laminate them properly, she's painted carefully and evenly over the bookmarks with clear glue to keep the flowers in place and even out the texture.

Yuna's impressively good at what she does, and it's no small help that each of these was clearly made with a lot of love.

Enjoy your presents, Whole Ass!

Mr. Von Karma
On the front, Yuna's arranged a collection of pressed hydrangeas and forget-me-nots around a pair of pressed thistles, all matching blues and purples, in a neat and orderly design.

The back reads:
Hydrangea - Pride
Thistle - Hard work
Myosotis - Forget me not

Mr. Keyes
Yuna's made a scattered, whimsical pattern with tiny pear blossoms and jasmines in curled swooping lines around a couple of yellow roses.

The back reads:
Yellow rose, pear blossom, jasmine - Friendship

did u kno yellow roses are also symbols of betrayal and dishonesty you motHERFUCKER

Mr. Barnham
Yuna's arranged short sprigs of entire gladiolus stems in neat rows, colors carefully organized in a rainbow-ordered gradient paling and turning to white flowers. There are carnation petals in neat lines between the rows.

The back reads:
Gladiolus - Strength, endurance
Carnation - Admiration

Shinnosuke-kun
Yuna's set a line of wide dwarf sunflowers, chrysanthemums, and pink cosmos down the bookmark, making it tall enough to fit two of each in an alternating pattern. The glue coating over the flowers is thin enough that the texture of the flowers can be felt.

The back reads:
Sunflowers - Always having faith
Chrysanthemums - Strong friendship, staying hopeful
Cosmos - Affection, remembering happy things

There's one more thing: it can't really be seen unless the bookmark is angled against the light just right and you're really looking for it, but it'll be easy to feel raised lines in the clear glue on the back meant to spell out I ♡ U

jesus, yuna

Mr. Ezio
Yuna's tried to make something fancy for Ezio, so though the backing of his bookmark is red, she's cut a diamond out of white card stock and mounted it on a gold border and put that in the center of the bookmark. A single dark pink rose sits in the center of that diamond, and there are rosemary sprigs against the edges of the diamond shape.

The back reads:
Pink rose - Gratitude
Rosemary - Remembrance

Mrs. Walken
The ribbon on Chane's bookmark is black. There's a rose flower set in the middle—sort of. It looks like Yuna's sliced a red rose and a black rose neatly down the middle, then put a half of each rose together on the bookmark, red on the left, black on the right. There are tiny peach blossoms, so pale pink as to almost be white, bordering the rose in an elegant circle.

The back reads:
Rose - True love
Peach blossoms - Generosity

Mr. Walken
The ribbon on Felix's bookmark is red. There's a rose flower set in the middle—sort of. It looks like Yuna's sliced a red rose and a black rose neatly down the middle, then put a half of each rose together on the bookmark, black on the left, red on the right. In a slightly erratic (definitely by design and not mistake, though) circle around the rose are single petals of a purple carnation and tiny purple heliotrope flowers.

The back reads:
Rose - True love
Purple carnation - Whimsy and laughter
Heliotrope - Devotion

Miss Elizabeth
Thinking of Elizabeth's brooch, Yuna uses a white piece of card stock for the bookmark's backing, but mounts the flowers on a cut-out blue oval given a gold-colored border. The bookmark has a pressed sycamore leaf surrounded neatly by pansies and their petals in a round, elegant pattern.

The back reads:
Sycamore - Curiosity
Pansy - Thoughtfulness

Miss Kadam
There's a single yellow Zinnia at the very bottom of Nisha's bookmark. Edelweiss, violet, and forget-me-not flowers scattered throughout are patterned to seem almost like they're bursting up from the zinnia, thinning out as they get to the bookmark's top. There are some scattered yellow zinnia petals closer to the flower itself, too, to make the color scheme change gradual.

The back reads:
Zinnia - Remembrance
Myosotis - Forget me not
Violet - Honesty
Edelweiss - Strength

Robin
There's a single wide peony at the top of Robin's bookmark, so pale pink as to almost be white. At the bottom, there are two sprigs of pressed thistle at either side of the bookmark, mirror images of each other. In between, the plumeria flowers and sometimes stray petals patterned all the way down start at pinkish-white shades nearest the peony and make as careful a gradient as Yuna could manage to the thistle's purple by the time they meet the thistle.

The back reads:
Peony - Bravery
Plumeria - Happy and positive things, versatility, will bloom again if uprooted
Thistle - Hard work

She's also written I love you! at the bottom and signed her name.

Additionally, on the back, there's a single blue morning glory on the top, and at the very bottom of the back of the bookmark, there's a thin line of cherry blossom petals.

Jason
When they first met, Jason said he'd like to see the bookmarks Yuna made sometime, so she's worked hard on making something impressive!! Tiny yarrow flowers, alternating white and green, border the top and bottom of the bookmark. There are two short bluebell stalks facing each other in the center, with a chrysanthemum between them. There are tiny edelweiss flowers dotting the space outside of that; the design overall is busy, but artfully so.

The back reads:
Yarrow - Healing
Bluebell - Gratitude
Chrysanthemum - Eternal friendship
Edelweiss - Courage, strength

She's also written I love you! at the bottom and signed her name.

Russell
Why did Russell have to pick the death flower when she asked him for his favorite. What the fuck.

Instead of indulging him entirely, the flower she's chosen for the center of the bookmark is a white spider lily. There are tiny white poppies dotted around it, too.

The back reads:
White spider lily - Sweetness, purity
Poppy - Happiness

Additionally, on the back, there's a single blue morning glory on top.

Tohsaka-san
Rin said she liked "simple and meaningful" flowers, so Yuna has mounted a single red rose, no thorns, stem and petals and all, on a round white piece of card stock and put it against a deep red piece.

The back reads:
Rose - Simple, meaningful, love

Noctis
It definitely took Yuna like a million years to find a sylleblossom at the homestead based on the description she inevitably interrogated out of Noctis but you know what I'm just going to allow myself the assumption that she could?? I don't know anything about Final Fantasy. Neither does Yuna and she hopes she picked the right thing. The point is there's a line of white edelweiss flowers going down a straight vertical line in the center of the bookmark, interrupted by the single sylleblossom circled neatly by tiny blue violets in the bookmark's very middle. At the very front and the very end of the line, there's a small white tulip, facing as though the edelweiss flowers are coming out of the open buds.

The back reads:
Blue violets - Faith
Edelweiss - Courage, strength
White tulip - Forgiveness

Additionally, on the back, there's a single blue morning glory on top.

Lissa
Yuna's arranged a bunch of forget-me-nots with a few crocuses and a single yellow zinnia in a round, cutesy sort of pattern.

The back reads:
Zinnia - Remembrance
Crocus - Joy and happiness
Myosotis - Forget me not

Papika
Yuna's made a round, cute pattern out of purple violets, pink peonies, and white winter honeysuckle.

The back reads:
Peony - Bravery
Violet - Daydreams
Honeysuckle - Generosity, devotion

Miss Lust
Yuna's chosen a light blue background so the red flowers she's picked, since Lust said she liked red flowers, will stand out. There's a fuchsia flower in the center in a shade of pink as close to red as Yuna could find, and she's arranged poppies, amaryllises, zinnia petals, rose petals, and freesia flowers around it in lines shooting out from the center like sunbeams.

The back reads:
Fuchsia - Freedom
Amaryllis - Determination, beauty
Poppy - Fun
Zinnia - From your heart
Rose - Love
Freesia - Friendship
Tell me when you decide which one is your favorite! Love, Yuna

Mr. Ash
Yeah, that's right, even this dick gets a bookmark. She's made a sharp, precise pattern out of irises and purple violets.

The back reads:
Violet - Daydreams
Iris - Loyalty, wisdom

Mr. Tarvek
Tarvek's bookmark has two stems of blue gladiolus flowers bordering the edge, and a clump of hydrangea flowers in the center. Blue violets have been spaced out and elegantly patterned around the hydrangeas in a refined sort of pattern.

The back reads:
Gladiolus - Strength, endurance
Hydrangea - Gratitude
Blue violet - Faith

Additionally, on the back, there's a single blue morning glory on top.

Dr. Lecter
this is one of the last ones i did because every time i got to this box i was like okay, but, what if i Didn't. hannibal is an upstanding citizen of whole ass who did nothing wrong ever in his l

anyway. Yuna's cut out a round piece of off-white card stock, given a black border, to put in the bookmark's very middle, and on it she's mounted a single deep purple, almost black, tulip. Around where she's mounted that part on the center of the bookmark, she's made a circle of red yarrow flowers, and then a circle of pale dahlia petals around that.

The back reads:
Queen of the Night - Royalty
Yarrow - Healing
Dahlia - Elegance

Mr. Graham
Yuna's made Will a very simple, precise pattern out of white winter honeysuckle, yellow winter jasmine, and a few white dogwood flowers. That might be a pun. It's probably a pun.

The back reads:
Honeysuckle - Devotion
Jasmine - Hardiness
Dogwood - Endurance

Harry
Harry's bookmark has aster flowers in spaced-out rows, organized in an orderly gradient from blue to pink with a focus on the former. Between the rows are cherry blossom and peony petals, like little pink borders.

The back reads:
Aster - Trust
Cherry blossoms - Kindness
Peony - Bravery

Mr. Brando
Yuna's arranged a bunch of forget-me-nots and a single yellow zinnia in a sharp, orderly sort of pattern.

The back reads:
Zinnia - Remembrance
Myosotis - Forget me not

Kamiya-san
Yuna's arranged a few dwarf sunflowers in a zig-zag pattern going down the bookmark. There are small edelweiss flowers and peony petals scattered in between them.

The back reads:
Sunflowers - Loyalty
Edelweiss - Strength, courage
Peony - Bravery

Sagihara-san
Yuna's arranged a bunch of forget-me-nots and a single yellow zinnia in a precise, elegant sort of pattern.

The back reads:
Zinnia - Remembrance
Myosotis - Forget me not

Harime-san
Nui's bookmark has purple carnations, violets, and asters in round, erratic patterns. She's dedicated to the pink-and-purple theme. The ribbon on Nui's bookmark has been tied into a cute little bow.

The back reads:
Purple carnation - Whimsy
Violet - Daydreams
Aster - Remembrance

Riku
There's a single yellow zinnia in the center of Riku's bookmark, circled by little white primrose flowers in a way that matches Xion's bookmark. There are forget-me-nots arranged in circle after circle into curved lines in the rest of the bookmark's space.

The back reads:
Zinnia - Remembrance
Myosotis - Forget me not
Primrose - Eternal love

Xion
Xion's bookmark has a purple chrysanthemum in it center, circled by little white primrose flowers. The space above and below them has patterned lines of little pink cherry blossoms. There's a red stripe at the very top and bottom of the bookmark.

The back reads:
Chrysanthemum - Loyal and eternal friendship, staying in good spirits, happiness
Primrose - Eternal love
Cherry blossoms - Remember the happy and beautiful parts of life, pink and purple going together

She's also written I love you! at the bottom and signed her name.

Additionally, on the back, there's a single blue morning glory on top.

Mr. Undertaker
Yuna's arranged a bunch of forget-me-nots and a single yellow zinnia in a sharp, erratic sort of pattern.

The back reads:
Zinnia - Remembrance
Myosotis - Forget me not

Eliot
Do you have any idea how hard it is to make a pressed flower bookmark for someone who answered her flower survey question with not being a flower kind of guy. Do you. Yuna has TRIED HER VERY BEST though, and made a simple pattern out of white heather and candytuft flowers dotted around a pair of bluebells.

The back reads:
Heather - Protection
Candytuft - Adaptability, joy
Bluebell - Gratitude

His name on the back is maybe slightly off-center, with extra flower petals on either side. This is definitely because Yuna wrote "Mr." down first on instinct and then remembered Eliot doesn't like to be called Mister!!! Her manners are killing her.

Mr. Ocelot
Yuna's arranged a bunch of forget-me-nots and a single yellow zinnia in a bursting sort of pattern.

The back reads:
Zinnia - Remembrance
Myosotis - Forget me not

Natalie
Yuna's positively filled Natalie's bookmark with flowers; the pattern is busy and colorful but artfully designed. Yuna's got a knack for this! There are colorful yarrow, gladiolus, peony, and aster flowers all in cute swirls around bluebell buds arranged in a circle.

The back reads:
Bluebell - Gratitude
Yarrow - Healing
Peony - Bravery
Gladiolus - Strength, endurance
Aster - Trust

Miss Ana
The backing for Ana's bookmark is shiny and sort of reflective; it looks gold. She's arranged blue irises and violets in an elegant, round pattern around a single pressed pink rose.

The back reads:
Blue iris - Faith, hope
Blue violet - Faith
Pink rose - Gratitude

Additionally, on the back, there's a single blue morning glory on top.

Annabeth
The right edge of Annabeth's bookmark is bordered with daisies. There's a lot of spacing between them; if you hold the bookmark up next to Percy's, they line up perfectly with the daisies on the left edge of his. Annabeth's, though, has a bright yellow zinnia on it, too.

The back reads:
Zinnia - Remembrance
Daisy - Innocence, sincerity

Percy
The left edge of Percy's bookmark is bordered with daisies. There's a lot of spacing between them; if you hold the bookmark up next to Annabeth's, they line up perfectly with the daisies on the right edge of hers. Percy's has little white yarrow flowers along the right side, and a bluebell, stem and all, between them.

The back reads:
Daisy - Innocence, sincerity
Yarrow - Healing
Bluebell - Gratitude

Okabe-san
OKAY WELL HE WANTED TO YELL ABOUT INFINITE SWIRLING CHAOS HE CAN HAVE IT because Yuna's arranged the petals of goldenrod, toad lily, chrysanthemum, and aster flowers in as many colors as she can find into busy swirls and curl shapes.

The back reads:
Fall flowers!
Goldenrod - Good luck
Chrysanthemum - Friendship, keeping good spirits
Aster - Banishing evil spirits
Toad lily - They don't mean anything in particular, but they look cool!

She's definitely appealing to his shitty chuunibyou nature here. It's okay, she understands.

Milla
The backing for Milla's bookmark is striped; Yuna's taken a lot of care to cut out and glue down even vertical stripes alternating in red, yellow, blue, and green. The attached ribbon is pink.

A few tiny pressed ivy leaves border the top and bottom of the bookmark. Between them, Yuna has artfully arranged pink peonies, white larkspur, carnations in light red and white, and a few different colors of gladiolus. The resulting design is rather busy, but well-composed. Yuna's got a knack for this!!

The back reads:
Ivy - Eternal friendship, endurance
Peony - Bravery
White larkspur - Happiness
Carnation - Admiration, love
Gladiolus - Strength, try not to give up

She's also written I love you! at the bottom and signed her name.

Higekiri-san
On the front, Yuna's set sprigs of white heather flowers to elegantly border a single green gentian. We're not even going to talk about how much time she spent crawling around in the dirt on her stomach to find that gentian, okay.

The back reads:
Heather - Protection

She feels no need to explain the gentian, apparently.

Miss Valestein
Focusing on shades of purple, Yuna's put one long salvia stem in the bookmark's center and dotted aster, gladiolus, hydrangea, and heather flowers around it.

The back reads:
Salvia - Compassion
Heather - Protection
Aster - Trust
Gladiolus - Strength
Hydrangea - Gratitude, understanding

Miss Tiara
Yuna's arranged some pressed rosemary sprigs to make a round border around a chrysanthemum circled by alternating forget-me-nots and white tulip petals, making a careful, elegant design.

The back reads:
Rosemary - Remembrance
Chrysanthemum - Eternal friendship
Myosotis - Forget me not
White tulip - Forgiveness

Ao-chan
Ao's bookmark has sprigs of rosemary woven around whole white tulips and forget-me-nots in a cutesy, whimsical sort of design.

The back reads:
Rosemary - Remembrance
Myosotis - Forget me not
White tulip - Forgiveness

Yuna Yuki
She hasn't made a bookmark for herself, but there are five others in her collection: the ones pictured in the banner up top.

They aren't labelled for anyone. They weren't made here; they're pressed flowers, certainly, but they're laminated over and professionally designed.

They were waiting for her in her room when she got here; five bookmarks. Green, yellow, red, blue, pink. Itsuki, Fu, Karin, Togo, Yuna.
