week 2, thursday night

[so anyway here we are
good going guys
at least she got to bring the snacks and the blankets??? first order of business is making sure Jason sits somewhere comfortably and then Yuna pretty much immediately sets to work arranging a blanket and pillow nest in the cell.]
At least it's better than the stocks, right? And we don't have to worry about coyotes this way!
[this place still makes her pretty upset but!!! INSISTENT OPTIMISM!!!!!!!]

[Either way, he's sitting on the floor and leaning against the wall. He'll continue to favor his uninjured arm and shoulder for everything, but even though he chewed Yuna out when she offered to stay with him... He's so relieved to be out of the stocks and somewhere the coyotes (probably) won't get to them.
... Not that any knife happy assholes can't, but. At least he can properly kick their ass now.]

I don't know if I should be glad or insulted he let us bring blankets and snacks with us before locking us in here or not.

[goodness gracious look at milla go though...... yuna just. casually pauses her blanket nest construction to slide a candy bar in milla's direction. they're going to starve to death overnight, aren't they]
It's all the same stuff anyway, we're just inside with it now instead. [She fluffs her pillow pile and, apparently satisfied, puts her hands on her hips, nods at her work, and then walks over to Jason, offering him a hand up.]
Here, I set up a spot for you! [There are some extra pillows and stuff set aside because she's sure Milla will want them, but Jason's injured, so Yuna's sure Milla won't mind her allocating most of their bedding resources to this pile.]

[to Yuna (and yes, she doesn't mind Jason getting most of the pillows and bedding):]
It's charming that you can find the bright side to any situation.
[and then, to Jason]
Will your shoulder be all right?

Yeah. I've had worse, so don't worry too much about it. [Though his arm's been limp at his side since he got taken out of the stocks.] I just need to sleep it off and it'll be as good as new.
[That said... He sighs at both of them.]
You two should've gone back to the hotel when you had the chance. It's not fair that you got locked up, too.

It's okay! We have all our snacks and blankets, and it's more comfortable than it was outside. Plus, this way we don't have to worry about each other since we know we're safe here for the night, and you got let out of the stocks early. [She looks over to Milla and nods, like she's asking for her approval.] I don't mind.

Yuna was insistent that someone spend the night with you. I accompanied her to ensure the both of you would remain safe throughout the night, assuming we'd spend the entirety of it outside.
[ON A. . . MURDER NIGHT. . . good lord there was no way she was letting Yuna go out there alone]
It might not be "fair," but-- ah. Well. We can make the most of it.
no subject
[Though, it still bothers him??? It's a murder night.]
Think we might be able to hear anything from here? If there's a commotion, I mean. [A beat, and he frowns.] ... Not that we'd be able to do anything about it, even if we did.
no subject
It won't do us any good to worry about that right now. [AGGRESSIVELY!!! FINDS SOMETHING MORE PLEASANT TO TALK ABOUT!!!!!!] Since we don't have to worry about our safety, we can focus on making sure we're all comfy as long as we're here! [And she's taking this opportunity to crouch by Jason and fluff at a pillow. Fuss fuss fuss!!!!] Is this okay?
no subject
[but Jason's question is a good one, and even though Yuna is trying not to worry about it now, Milla can't help but turn it over in her mind as she unwraps another candy bar. (these chocolate desserts were so good!! a bit too sweet for her taste, but they were portable and she could carry them with her wherever she went!!)]
And since our safety seems to be guaranteed, we can also devote some of our attention on listening for signs of a commotion outside. I don't know if we'll hear anything, but it's worth keeping alert, just in case. Isn't it?
Even if we can't do anything now, anything we hear will certainly be relevant at the trial.
