week 2, wednesday evening; HERO CLUB MEETING THE FIRST
[Yuna spends Wednesday tracking down her Hero Club members throughout the day with an important announcement: they're all invited to the Hero Club's first meeting here in the town of...wh...who...of this town. she's too pure to say ass. you can't make her
but anyway—Yuna isn't quite ready yet to explore the saloon again, so despite the existence of more optimal sitting and meeting spaces, she's set up some tables and chairs in the hotel kitchen and invited the Hero Club to meet over dinner. She's made enough stir fry to feed an army in preparation, and there's also a bowl of chips and a pitcher of lemonade. She's ready.
Or, like, she seems like she's so ready until everyone gets there and she stands up, looks everyone over, and...blanks.]
Um. Hi! [nailed it] Thanks for being here. [NAILING IT SOME MORE] Uh, usually this is the part where Fu goes over what requests we have to do today, but at school, we meet daily, and we're doing it differently here and we don't actually have any fresh requests...
[oh god she's in charge]
But I wanted to talk about some other stuff anyway!

Percy Jackson pointed something to me: that roommates don't really have a reason to watch each other's backs. There are some that may even refuse to do it.
However, the majority of us have no reason to refuse! It should work, for the most part.
there ya go now you're figuring it out
...I don't really know how we'd learn any of that, though.
parties are good for morale
[And once Xion's gone, instead of going upstairs, Yuna peeks out of the doorway, waits until she's certain Xion has left earshot, scrambles back to the table, puts her hands down on it, and crouches just so instead of sitting like a reasonable person. She speaks quickly, voice lowered.]
Quick, before she gets back. I know Xion's poster said she was fourteen years old when she got here because we're both fourteen but I was looking when I made that list of people yesterday and now every single poster says she's fifteen, so she must have had a birthday since she got here, and I want to do something for her.
[and, with the utmost solemn urgency:]
Do any of you know how to make a cake?

I don't... But maybe we could find a recipe to follow..? Those usually have directions, even people who don't even know how to cook can make things really easily... That's what I've heard from Gardenia and Cody at least...
some gross shounen shit you gotta endure to get to the metaphorical suggestions box
That's all I wanted to say, but before we left, I wanted to talk to you guys about what you think we should do! This is a lot different from the way we run the Hero Club at school, and I was never really supposed to be a club president, but that's why it's so important that we work together to make this club as good as it can be.
[She beams, though there's a sheepishness to the laugh that comes with it.]
I'm really happy you guys decided to join, though! I'm lucky to have a good Hero Club here, and I want us to work hard together.

[He sounds rather sure of himself, almost formal, as if he was talking to a group of subjects and not to people from a hero club]
Ms. Xion here and I were talking about ways to enter into the boarded-up buildings, and we thought using the suggestion box to achieve it is an idea with merit. Does everyone approve? What buildings should we focus on first?
I think the doctor's building should be our priority, but there's something about the mortician's that gets my attention. The Sheriff had said something about the last person remaining 'deciding everyone's fate', there may be some clue regarding that in that building.

[ And maybe they can finally get meals cooked for them instead of having to fend for themselves, you know! Russell's pretty use to fending for himself, but some convenience would be nice. ]
If they're boarded up though... Can't we just smash through the boards to open them? It can't be that hard...

[Don't piss off your captor unnecessarily, that's Being Kidnapped 101]

[ If it's not against the rules... Then they should just do it. Just smash the boards!! Break in!!! ]

If for some reason we do decide to break into some place, the least we should do is plan it very carefully.

[ MAYBE!? ]
Or we could just ask the sheriff to open it for us... At least by now it should only make sense we need a place that has medicine. [ Russell isn't too fond of the sheriff, but maybe he has a little faith he's nice enough to open a building or two for them (...maybe). ]
